Introducing Toton Lane, our latest project in Nottingham.
As consulting engineers in Nottingham, we were delighted to be selected to work with Peveril Homes, in assisting them with their forthcoming development off Toton lane in Nottingham.
Coverage by the Nottingham Post highlights the significant support for the scheme that is to comprise nearly 300 new homes and includes plans for a residential care home, doctors surgery, nursery school and several shops.
The appointment was made by Tom Broster, Land and Technical Manager for Peveril Homes and required us to review all the site constraints and develop a detailed highway and sustainable drainage strategy to support the house builders “reserved matters” planning application. This is an integral part of the project and something we have established an excellent reputation for in terms of delivery and foresight for upcoming projects. We assisted Peveril Homes in making significant headway at an early stage by liaising with Broxtowe Borough Council, the Lead Local Flood Authority and Nottinghamshire County Council Highway Authority to ensure our strategy would be accepted.
For PJS this project includes highway and drainage infrastructure as well as modelling of public open space. We have gone on to produce the detailed drainage and highway design for the site which includes noteworthy sustainable drainage incorporating swales, balancing pond and wetland amenity. The project has included design approvals under S104 and S38.
Tom comments “The service that PJS offers is second to none. From initial concept, to technical approval and beyond, cost effective solutions are designed, approved and constructed. This is the start of a long-standing partnership with Peveril Homes”.
